Mr.Imtiaz Ahmed
Secretary S&GAD/ Director General, KIM
Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed Secretary, Services and General Administration Department is a civil Servant from Azad Kashmir Administrative Services with 24 years’ rich administrative and leadership Experience.
He is a graduate of Government College Lahore and has done his MS in Anthropology from The Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. He obtained his second Master’s degree in International Development Management from the University of Bradford, Yorkshire UK . He also has a Law Degree (LL.B) from the AJK University.
He started his career as Project Officer in the Trust for Voluntary Organizations (TVO) from July 2000 to November 2002, then joined Civil Service of Azad Government of the State of Jammu & Kashmir in 2002.
He started his career in the Civil Service as the Assistant Commissioner and worked on different key positions like Deputy Commissioner Neelum and Muzaffarabad , Additional Secretary Home, Inspector General Prisons ; Program Director PPHI; Director General Sports, Youth & Culture; Director General Civil Defense; Commissioner Muzaffarabad and Poonch Divisions, Secretary Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Cell; Secretary Tourism, Archaeology, Sports, Youth and Culture, Secretary Forest, Wildlife & Fisheries. He has also served as Secretary, Agriculture; Livestock, Irrigation & Small Dams, Azad Government of the State of Jammu & Kashmir.
There a lot of National and International courses and trainings on his credit like, NMC, SMC, MCMC, Media Management, Financial Management, Land Management and Administration, Disaster Risk Management, Monitoring & Evaluation of Projects, Prisons and Correction Management and Project Life Cycle Management.
He has visited many countries like India, Nepal, USA and United Kingdom etc. to participate in the International Trainings and Conferences . He is a regular visiting faculty at KIM and has a vast experience in Project Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Evaluation, Management, Teambuilding, Financial & Human Resources Procurement and Emergency Response .
Mr.Abrar Ahmed Qureshi
Chief Instructor & Director Admin
Mr. Abrar Ahmed Qureshi Chief Instructor, Kashmir Institute of Management joined the Institute in 2011. He holds double Master degrees in Economics and English Language and Literature from University of Punjab.
He is a gold medalist, possesses experience of more than 23 years in academics and training. He has served in the institute in various capacities and remained involved in all training courses conducted at KIM since its inception in 2011. He has attended various training courses especially in the field of management.
Mr. Abrar has special expertise in AJK Civil Service Rules, Regulations, Public Procurement Rules as well as Rules of Business of the Azad Govt. of the State of Jammu & Kashmir. He has performed diverse functions and has served in multifarious roles in the Azad Govt. of the State of Jammu & Kashmirs Higher Education Department as well as S&GAD.
He joined public service in 1998 as Lecturer in English at the Government Boys Postgraduate College Mirpur and served as Assistant Professor at UoAJ&K and Additional Directing Staff at the KIM.
Mr. Tariq Mahmood Butt
Directing Staff (Training & Coordination)
Mr. Tariq Mahmood Butt, Directing Staff (Training & Coordination)is a NORAD and Norwegian Quota Program Scholar . He earned his 1st Class MPhil in Development Studiesfrom Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway and 1st class Masters in Human Geography from University of the Punjab, Lahore . He also possesses Upper 1st Class Graduate Diplomas in International Development with 1st Position from, University of Oslo, Norway and in Development Work with distinction from Commonwealth Youth Program. He is also the topper of Fifth Mid-Career Management Course from KIM , Muzaffarabad.
Mr. Butt has also participated in the Professional Development Seminar at the University of Oslo and has attended around 35 In-Service Short Duration Training Courses on different areas of Public Service Delivery including Effective Leadership & Management, Effective Communication, Social Protection, Project Planning & Development etc.
He has 31 years vast and diversified professional experience in Public Service including Management, Project Planning / Coordination, Social Development, Electoral Administration and Training. He started his public service career as District Election Officer, in the AJ&K Election Commission, also served as Assistant Director, Social Welfare & Women Dev. Deptt., GoAJK. Later on, he served as Assistant Election Commissioner, Staff Officer to the Secretary S&GAD, GoAJK and Deputy Election Commissioner, AJ&K Election Commission.
After the earthquake of 2005, his services were hired by the State Earthquake Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Agency (SERRA) and UNDP, where he served as Director and AJ&K State Coordinator for Coordination, Social Protection and Donors Sponsors for more than seven years. Now he is serving as Directing Staff (T&C) at Kashmir Institute of Management Since October, 2016. His areas of interest are Effective Leadership / Management, Effective Communication, Effective Public Speaking , Governance and Development in AJ&K, Govt. Servants Conduct Rules and Social Protection.
